I thought I'd create a page to share a little bit of me with you. Baking has always been a part of my life since I can remember. As a kid, I remember my sister and I would pass the summer days away baking recipes out of the many cookbooks our mom had. (Scones were for some reason our fave and we made them quite regularly!) Then holidays like Christmas would come around and we'd bake sugar cookies and shortbread.
Fast forward many years later and I found myself interested in baking cakes with a dear friend who always seemed to be busy with wedding cakes that she'd make for her relatives. It was the beginning of a great partnership with 2 friends that shared a common interest in making pretty desserts! As the years went by we both found ourselves busier with our day to day lives that baking was on the back burner.
Nevertheless the requests kept coming every now and again and I found my passion for baking custom desserts ignited once more. I decided to start The Cake Mama with aspirations that this will one day become my full time gig with a pretty little storefront for all of you to enjoy.
While building my cake business, I still work full time and enjoy raising my 2 beautiful daughters (of course they are, I'm biased!) with my loving and supportive husband who puts up with my insane ideas with a

Thank you to everyone who has been supportive over the last 2 years of this venture. It has been nothing short of a pleasure to take your idea and turn it into a tasty reality! I look forward to many more years with you!
